Legendary Nollywood actor Segun Arinze has shut down disturbing rumours making the rounds that he is ill and in desperate need of financial assistance.
The whispers of ill health started spreading like wildfire after some photos surfaced online showing the veteran actor looking frail with a noticeably bloated stomach. Fans immediately went into panic mode, speculating that something was wrong with the screen legend.
However, Arinze has now come forward to set the record straight! In a video shared on his Instagram page, the iconic actor reassured everyone that he is perfectly healthy and those viral images were simply from a movie set.

Speaking directly to his concerned fans, the “Black Arrow” star expressed gratitude for the outpouring of love and concern but made it clear that the reports of his ill health were completely false.
“I want to thank my fans, friends, and associates all over the world for reaching out to me through calls and WhatsApp messages to find out how I’m doing.
As you can see, I’m very fine. I’m fit as a fiddle!
Those pictures flying around were taken from a film set. I don’t know why some people decided to cause mischief with them,” he explained.
Beware of Scammers!
Arinze also warned the public against falling for scams, as some dubious individuals might try to exploit the fake news to solicit funds in his name. He stressed that he is not seeking financial assistance for any medical condition and urged everyone to disregard the misleading posts.
“I will continue to do my work, I will continue to contribute to the growth of my industry and Nigeria. God bless you all. I love you,” he concluded.
