Apparently, four Nigerian artistes — Martins Chukwuka Emmanuel, Abel Great Umaru, Kelvin Ayodele Campbell, and David Ovhioghena Umaru (Naija Avengers in full squad mode) — dragged Davido to court, claiming he did the ultimate remix of their 2022 jam “Work” and dropped his own version called “Strawberry on Ice” in 2024. The four wise men allege that they actually showed Davido the original song for potential collabo vibes. Instead of featuring them, OBO allegedly took the tune to Emmerson and company — who reportedly went full ‘science student’ on it — mixing, sampling, and serving a brand new cocktail called Strawberry on Ice.

According to court gist, Davido actually agreed to settle the matter with a cool $45,000 and also promised to share royalties — 40% for the song’s composition and 20% for the sound recording. Everybody even shook hands and fixed March 24, 2025, as deadline.
